Kallng Riverside

The 2 days last week that I was on MC was diarrhea cum gastric. I do not know if considered food poisoning, but definitely not as bad as the last one.
Sat, I had nasi lemak at Changi Village. Sun, I bought home-made ice-cream at Upper East Coast Road and nasi lemak at Khatib. After the ice-cream, I was not feeling well already, but with the nasi-lemak, I guess my lactose-intolerant tummy had a great fight with 5 times diarrhea from Sun nite to Mon nite. So went to see doc on Tue.

When I on my MSN, saw my friend online, long time since I last talked to her. She is a very dear friend to me. She’s been thru a lot of ups and downs. And I am happy that she is getting married soon.
So msn her a while, and she offered to bring me a ride to Aloha Changi chalet while she would rakee the place for her ROM venue. Changi area again, been there like 3 times in a row since Sat. Nevertheless, since I like the place and she is fetching me, so I went along. She is inviting 70-80 relatives for her ROM. Wow, so many relatives? She shrugged and said majority is from her to-be-hubby’s side as he is the eldest.
When we reached there, it was a 2-storey bungalow, so there were like a total of 4 rooms with attached toilet and a well-furnished kitchen! Hmm, not bad. Just that the place looks really quite old and tattered, but near the sea side, not tat bad also la.. I dunno is it due to my old habit, I got into drawing the floorplan, thinking where to place the table and guest seats while my friend was estimating the dimension of the room =P
My gf is getting married on quite a cool date: 07/07/07 and it’s a Sat =)

Then we were thinking of lunch.
“Do you want to eat here?” “Anything.” “I have craving! Can we go Kallang to eat fried guay tiao?” “Sure!” “But wat can you eat?” “Anything, as long as got soup-based stuff” So she was happily driving when suddenly she said, “I know, we can go Changi Airport to eat since we are so near (near TPE/PIE exit)? Eh, nono, there got nothing to eat. How about Tampines Mall?” “I really anything, just go anywhere u like, I dun have any preference =)” “Hmmm…” “Why not we go Kallang, since we have a car now, you have the craving for the food there, and you will be fetching ur bf there later as well?” “OK!”
So happily, we were on our way to Kallang, and finally, I got to know that the place she was talking about was the Army/Beach Road Hawker Centre. Ooooo…She got her wish but my prawn mee stall was not opened. So settled for wanton mee soup, and it was nice too despite I had a weak stomach! Yum yum.. Found one special store there, will get you to go there check out one day.

Then we walked slowly to the Kallang side to wait for her bf who is giving course there. The boys and him carrying the heavy dragon boat… Wat a sight, hahaha… And when he came running for his-wife-to-be, ahaaaaaa… While waiting for his turn to bath, he entertained us by kayaking to fetch his red container and also made a turn in the water while staying inside the kayak. Wow~ We had that taped and snapped. My gf said it would be in the pictures shown during the wedding dinner, ahahaha…
Will upload some pictures soon...

The view is nice with the indoor stadium, outdoor stadium, the condominiums and the large ferris wheel. My gf told me people already started booking for next yr’s V-day… *Envious*
