Sentosa Trip last last Sat :P

Did not have time to blog about the Sentosa trip which happened 2 weeks ago. Been busy @ work and then by the time reach home, DEAD TIRED..

Thanks to Irene Seet and Eng Eng for organizing the trip and “thanks” to Eve and Peisze who backed out from the trip, 5 of us (Seet and bf, Eng and bf and ME) arranged to meet at Vivo. They had lunch at Marche while I was late and rushing from my tuition place, bought only bun with peppered hotdog and soya bean milk, and in the end, waited for them for about an hour, because they were having desserts and went one big round to meet me when they were so near me *faint*.. Personally, I do feel that Vivo is so unfriendly because you can get so lost lor~

Anyway, we took the new monorail train into Sentosa free as they had corporate pass! Not too bad, though I feel that the train is a bit small and can go swing left to right, right to left *scare scare*. Still, overall, very convenient and fast to reach the destination.

In the monorail train...

Well, we do not have any plan, except for Irene’s plan to feed the fishes with her feet. Apparently, the Underwater World has these fishes that will feed on the bacteria of your feet. However, the atrocious price of $30 plus dollars for I think 1 hr or so, made Eng and I feel that we are not going for it. In the end, Irene decided not to go for it too as she felt awkward 8 eyes staring at her feet.. Ahahaha…

In the end, we only played the Sentosa Luge & Skyride. Fun! Go and try it!!
Basically, the skyride is like the Korean kind whereby you sit on it which then carries you to the peak of some place so that you can ski down. Well, I know, Singapore dun have snow.. But instead of skiing, you will take the luge down the slope. It is like go kart, just that there is no steering wheel, just handle for you to pull and release and move left or right. You dun have to step on anything as well. There are curves and when you reach half way, you got to stop and let the “referee” stamp on your hand “good work”

Eng was so scared when we were on the skyride. Well, she is afraid of height in the first place. So I took the same ride as her and xiantu. She kept asking would her shoes drop off. When the skyride came, it would not stop, so we have to stand in correct position and be prepared to be swooped off by the skyride seat. Cool~ However, Eng was so stiff, she gripped onto the handle bar tightly and we had to distract her with our talks and Irene Seet and uncle was screaming to us, trying to disturb Eng Eng… Haha.. Hilarious! Nevertheless, Eng eng still had enjoyable time when we came down on the luge.. We enjoyed ourselves and wanted to go for 2nd ride.. But we also wanted to take a break for a while, so we went to the nearby café to have Hawaiian pizza and drink.. Very relaxing for a Saturday~

Then we went to explore around the same area. Went to Café De Ma to take a peep. There was a small swimming pool in the centre, and many beach chairs in the enclosed area. As it was still afternoon, I could not feel the sensation that others had told me. Heard that the nite here is cool with fab music.. Hmm, maybe we can go another time in the night? Then we crossed over to a small island. Never been to this island, but really, there was nothing again.. just like the other small islands.. The only thing is that when we looked from this island, you can see the beauty of the hotel and the main island. Nonetheless, Irene and I dabbed our feet into the sea while sitting on the extended bridge for a while. Luckily, there were no fishes..

Then everyone started to feel hungry and we were actually deciding to go for Hokkien mee (thanks to Eng eng’s craving) and in the end, we headed for east coast park food centre.. Then when we almost reached there, the number of cars in the queue to go into the carpark made us decide to go for another place where there was carpark lot. So we drove on to further down and eventually we reached changi village.

We went back to the same hawker centre to eat. Memories came back. The same carpark, the same hawker centre, the same number of people, just that it was xiantu, the same food, sambal kangkong, lala, stingray, this time round no chilli crab (though we were tempted to order peppered crab), but we ordered sambal squid which was not bad. Halfway the dinner, I stopped pale. My tummy gave me problem. I could not really describe the pain, it was twisting inside my tummy, twist and turn, sharp pain. I could not sit properly nor move, and my face was pale like sheet, I just sat there, unmoving with my fork and spoon in my hands. Xiantu saw and told eng eng. I waited for them to finish their food, while I was not able to take anymore food and water. Walking slowly to the toilet was a torture, tried hard not to vomit as I did not want to see the food come out from my mouth and nose, tummy ache but dun feel like shitting. It was whole hell of shitty feeling.

Finally, they brought me to a 24hr clinic to see doctor. Walked so long to reach the clinic, I just felt like sitting down and cry. Badly wanted someone to piggy back me and hug me.. Being alone really can make one more independent and stronger.. Anyway, the doctor checked my tummy and asked me if I wanted an injection. Eng and I looked at each other and thought what was so serious that I need a jab. She just merely replied “food poisoning”. Eng told her that we all had the same food, so how could it be that only I got food poisoning? The doctor just shrugged saying my portion could be dirty. We looked at each other again.. But as I was already badly in pain and just wanted the pain to go away, I did not bother to argue with her. Only when after the jab, the doctor said that the medicine would take 45 minutes to work, I wanted to kill her. Need to wait for so long ar!!! With all the medicine and $58 dollars, I stepped out of the clinic feeling super down. Not my day, but dun have to be this bad rite? Sigh, luckily, uncle and Irene was kind enough to drive me back home. Familiar route home, yet different feeling and thoughts…

Reached an empty house with pain in my tummy, I staggered to the toilet for my bath…
